Broke...

Dike Break
On the afternoon of June 11, the Roseau river broke through the sandbag dikes, and spread over most of Roseau. By evening, 95 percent of Roseau was flooded.

The railroad tracks slowed the spread of the floodwater for a short time, then the water poured over the tracks.
