Flooded home along Highway 61 north of Lake City.


Lake City is located on Lake Pepin, the widest part of the upper Mississippi. Lake City is known as the birthplace of water skiing. Lake Pepin is a popular area for boating.

Flood crest 20.13 feet, Monday, April 16, 2001.
River at about 19.4 feet (second crest) on April 30, when these photos were taken.

Damage: Homes north of Lake City along Highway 61 flooded. Minimal damage in town.
